Buntings for Everyone

Filed under: Uncategorized — littleredwren @ 1:58 pm

The other Sunday afternoon I was checking my reader and came across this beautiful post on Lifeflix. I was especially drawn to the mini buntings on the shelf and decided I needed to bookmark the idea in my head for another day. The boys (the husband and baby) were napping and Wren was having “quiet” time in her room. I quickly changed my mind about waiting on this project and brought my scrap bag into her room. I told her we were going to make something special for her brother’s room and asked her to pick out orange and blue fabrics from the bag. She found a lot that worked and I cut them into triangles by hand and then quickly sewed them together while she supervised. It was the perfect project to work on together on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The only hitch was I couldn’t measure the shelf so it ended up being too long. No problem, I cut off the extra bits and used them on some of his nursery art.

Sometimes I am over buntings, but not today.
