Pretty prettiness

Filed under: Uncategorized — littleredwren @ 1:27 pm

Let me tell you a little tale. Back on New Year’s Eve day, we had a little family outing to our local Goodwill. We walked in and I spied something cute underneath a lampshade. I could just see that it was a cute globe from far away, but when I got up close and removed the shade, I found this beauty:

I tried to keep my crap together while I walked around the store, and again when I paid $3.00 for the thing. But it was all over once I cleaned it up and plugged it in at home.

  1. Is this the Fisher-Price one? The one that has little pictures you can see if you line up the dots with the viewfinder?!? We had one of these when I was little and I loved it! I love globes in general, but this one is particularly cool 🙂

    • Yes, it is the Fisher Price one! I didn’t have it as a kid and it is rad. Especially since it is old enough that it has the USSR. Nice.

  3. That is so awesome… I love picturing you trying to keep your crap together.

I would go to goodwill all the time if I didn’t have kids.

  5. Hey Eve,
Thanks for your compliment! But I’m not sure what you meant by “is there any other.” Did you mean “another on the way,” or “another photo?” Let me know, then I can answer your question 😉
(And no, there is not another on the way)
